Mr. Bishop is a sole practitioner. As a Certified Family Law Specialist, his practice is devoted to Family Law. He has over 30 years of diverse family law experience, handling everything from multi-million dollar cases representing famous athletes and well-known business and community figures to far less complex matters for the "average" man or woman. He does not limit his clientele based on the economic circumstances of those who seek his assistance.

Some attorneys shy away from the court house and will negotiate away their clients' rights to avoid litigation. Some attorneys are rabidly litigious and will not even speak with the opposing attorney, insisting every minute detail be determined by a judge. Either extreme can be costly to the client and does not necessarily accomplish the client's goals. Mr. Bishop is equally comfortable and effective with highly-contested litigated cases as he is with cases in which the parties have worked out their own agreement and need an attorney to formalize their settlement. He tailors his approach to his client's needs and the circumstances of the case.

He provides a handbook with a comprehensive overview of the system and the procedures. He draws his clients a time line and helps them develop realistic expectations. If child custody or visitation are issues, he prepares his clients thoroughly for the court mandated mediation process, ensuring all the relevant information is available to the Court.
